As your pregnancy progresses, so does your appetite as the baby grows slowly in the womb and needs more nutrition. So in such a situation, you must eat dry fruits as a healthy snack to pacify the hunger.

Which all dry fruits to eat during pregnancy

So if you consume almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins, figs, dates, foxnuts (makhana) etc. in the early stages, then they are very beneficial for you. You will find some combination of seeds like flax seeds, chia seeds or pumpkin seeds which can make your pregnancy even healthier.

Dried fruits should be eaten in limited quantity. Dry fruits that you can eat soaked are more beneficial than eating them soaked overnight. In the early stages of pregnancy, eating a handful of almonds, a handful of raisins and a handful of walnuts soaked in water overnight is extremely beneficial. It is very beneficial for the physical and mental development of your child.

Nutritional Value in dry fruits

In dry fruits, you get vitamin B1, B-9, vitamin-C, K, E and H. Apart from this, you will get calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium as well as selenium. It also contains a good amount of dietary fiber.

If you consume them in limited quantity then you get many benefits during pregnancy. In pregnancy, many women suffer from constipation from the very beginning. Women may drink plenty of water to prevent constipation, but sometimes it does not go away. The amount of fibre in dry fruits is good, which removes this problem of constipation.

If you eat figs and raisins, then you get iron from it. It helps in meeting the lack of blood in your body and elevates your haemoglobin level.

Problems such as fluctuating blood pressure, weakness, calcium deficiency, iron deficiency can be kept away by the consumption of dry fruits.

When do dry fruits harm in pregnancy

Often people think that dry fruits are hot in nature. Look, hot trends happen when you consume too much of these. If you eat more almonds then somewhere you start feeling nervous, restless etc.

If you eat dry fruits in large quantities, then somewhere you may have problems with gas, flatulence, diarrhoea etc. Plus, they contain natural sugars like fructose, so they can also cause dental problems. Dried fruits are also high in calories, due to which you may gain extra weight if you eat them out of proportion.

Many women consume it in excess, sometimes there may be a problem of premature labor and sometimes even miscarriage.

How many dry fruits to eat in a day during pregnancy

You should not eat more than 100 grams of dry fruits in a day. You can eat four to five almonds, four to five walnuts, two dates, one or two figs and 6-8 pistachios. So in such a situation, if you eat these dry fruits in a balanced way, then they will give you many benefits in your pregnancy.
